How a Tennis Court is Used
For those who do not watch tennis regularly or who have never played tennis, the rules of the tennis court may be confusing. Tennis is an exciting game that requires a person to be fit and alert for the entire game. Running across the tennis court and hitting the ball for an hour or more will burn many calories. People who play tennis regularly are in better shape and can play a lot longer than someone who has just taken up the sport.
Hitting the ball within the squares is the basic premise of the game. If the ball lands outside the squares, then it is considered out of bounds. This will result in the other person gaining control of the ball. Once a person first hits the ball; it must land on the squares closest to the opposite player. On the tennis court, these squares resemble rectangles. After this, the ball can be directed to the two squares closest to the net on the tennis court.
Points are based on when a person misses the ball. The object is to keep the other person guessing where the ball will be going next. Courts can become very violent places as people take the game very seriously. During professional tournaments, players will get very angry and throw their rackets or shout. This can be a very frustrating game. The tennis court will also get very hot which will also make people angry. When playing tennis, it is important to keep the attention on the tennis court. The ball is hit very fast and may hurt if it hits another person. After a few games, a person will get used to hitting the ball and will learn how to play the court. This is when the game becomes more interesting. Tennis is a great game for those who want exercise and who want to have fun outdoors.
